Mudgee, Gulgong and Kandos pools will reopen on Monday (27 September) following a change to NSW Government Health Orders earlier this week.

Council’s pools are all COVIDSafe venues and COVID safety plans have been approved by NSW Health.

As the Mid-Western Region remains in lockdown, pools are open for exercise and recreation only with patrons asked to ‘Arrive, Swim and Leave’.

Under the conditions of entry to each venue, patrons must sign-in via the QR code at the front entrance, wear a face mask at all times unless exercising, follow all COVIDSafe signage and only use change rooms if absolutely essential.

Under NSW Health Orders, no more than two unvaccinated people from different households are permitted to attend pools together and exercise, while five fully vaccinated people from different households can attend together (children 12 years and under are not included).

Learn to Swim, Swim Clubs and other group fitness programs will only resume once further restrictions for the fitness industry have been lifted. All program participants must adhere to NSW Health Orders.

Mudgee Pool Kiosk will be open for takeaway only, Gulgong Pool Kiosk remains closed.

Please do not attend the pools if you are feeling unwell or have been exposed to a positive COVID case in the last 14 days.

Council asks that patrons please follow instructions from our staff as they work to implement these new conditions of entry next week.
